Nancy, Jay, Lynn, Suzie and Families,

Our sincere condolences to each of you. Harold will always be with us in fond memories and there are so many of them. I first met Harold at Town and Country Sports Car Club meetings and PHA hill climbs. We became close friends after I began to crew for Harold. I would like to relate just a few of the infinite memories Harold provided for me and many PHA, SCCA drivers and fans. They started with a 48-hour auto trip from Allentown to Riverside, California, during which Harold stopped along the highway in Arizona to chase tumbleweeds. A side trip from Riverside to meet Carrol Shelby at his Mustang 350 & 500 assembly facility. The incident when we were really, really late to the starting grid at Cumberland Airport race. The unforgettable "back of the pack" start at the Reading Airport race. Weekends at the races with Harold provided all the adrenaline, euphoria, and fantastically unbelievable incidents anyone could imagine.

Elsie has a few fond memories of her own. The time he stayed by my side when Jim went off course at Topton. He stayed with me until he got the word from the officials that Jim was okay, and another (which still makes me smile when I think of it) was when Harold took care of the water sprinkler at the golf course when it got him wet.

Harold's life was much, much more than racing, but space doesn't allow us to go on. He loved life (and chocolate ice cream contests) and lived it with gusto. The mold was broken after Harold was made. May all your warm memories of him help you through this sorrowful time.

Tom Morgan also sends his deepest sympathies to you all.

Nancy, Jay, Lynn, Suzie and Family....

Mary and I wish to express our deepest sympathy in Harold's passing. He will be remembered in our hearts as a true human being who would always give of himself to anyone who asked. Through our years of racing together, Harold made me feel more like a brother than a friend. The "all-nighters" in your garage and times at the race tracks were special moments to me. The 1975 Pocono Four Hour, where Harold co-drove my Spitfire to a 4th Place Overall finish is especially memorable, considering he was playing the radio during his stints and we beat Sam Finestein! Yea, we called him "Crazy Harold", but I am sure he defined, if not originated, the term "No Fear". God Bless you Harold, you crossed life's Finish Line in First Place. Take the Victory Lap with your checkered flag held high, and Rest in Peace.
