Joseph J. Paul, age 87, of Orefield PA, died Wednesday, May 21, 2003, in ManorCare Health Services, Salisbury Township PA.

Born in Whitehall Township PA, he was the son of the late John J. and Rosina (Oswald) Paul. He was an Assembler for the 5-C Plant of Mack Trucks, Inc., Allentown PA for 40 years, retiring in 1981. He was a Member of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs PA. He was a Veteran of the United States Army having served during World War II and achieving the Rank of Sergeant while serving with Company B - 701st Tank Battalion. He was awarded the Purple Heart while in service. He was also a Member of the Vernon G. Kern V.F.W. Post #8344, Schnecksville PA; the Copeechan Fish and Game Club, Schnecksville PA; and the Tri-Clover Fire Company, Orefield PA.

He is survived by his Sister, Hilda R. Nagel of Orefield PA; and Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral Services will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 24, 2003 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville PA. Family and Friends may Call 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Saturday, in the Funeral Home. The Reverend Thomas N. Thomas officiating. Interment in Union Church Cemetery, Neffs PA.
