John Pancoe, age 83, of Maple Road, Hellertown PA, died Monday, January 16, 2006 at St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill PA. He is the husband of Helen B. (Beneck) Pancoe.

Born in Lansford PA, he is the son of the late John and Julianna (Dotsey) Pancoe. John worked at the Bethlehem Steel in Fabricating from 1947-60 and Research from 1960, retiring in 1980. He also worked for USFD in Arizona Reforesting Conconino National Forest as a Foreman. He served this country honorably during World War II and Korea as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corp with the 2nd Division. He was a Graduate of Nesquehoning High School in 1940, playing Football, Basketball, Baseball, voted outstanding athlete 1939-40 and was a PIAA Official in 3 sports.

In addition to his loving Wife of 59 years he is survived by his Sons, Dennis J. and his wife Alison of Sanbornton NH and Craig A. and his wife Deborra of Jenkintown PA; Daughter, Elaine M., wife of Michael Bartholomew of Palmerton PA; Sisters, Elaine Cole of Oscala FL and Joann, wife of William Haupt of Ft. Washington MD; and 8 Grandchildren. He is predeceased in death by his Brother, Joseph Pancoe.

Services will be held 5:00 p.m. Thursday, January 16, 2006 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 326 Main Street, Hellertown PA. Family and Friends may call 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. Thursday at the Funeral Home.
