Joe was my cousin. His mom Nonie and my mom Theda were sisters. Joe and his mom spent Christmas Day at my house with our family every year till the passing of both our moms. We enjoyed the Italian food, the conversations and laughter with the two sisters. Joe had a special laugh and I'll always remember it and still can sometime hear it. We talked alot about our family , always with stories of "days of old"and fond memories.
Despite a chronic back problem, Joe drove to Savannah, Georgia to attend my daughters wedding.I'm so glad we have photos of that event in such happy times. That was the last time we were together. We kept in touch by phone and always called on Holidays. We used to kid each other over who called first!! Last Christmas he called before Christmas to say he was going to California for the holidays but he'd call when he returned to Miami. Well tragically I'll never get that call .
I love you Joe and I know your having a great time in heaven with all the family. Wow what a scene that must be!! I'll never forget ya ....keep laughing.
Love,
RoseAnn
