Helen Farnish, age 80, of Coopersburg PA, died Thursday, March 8, 2007 at VNA Hospice House St. Luke's, Lower Saucon Township PA. She is the wife of the late Sgt. Stanley T. Farnish, who died August 1998. Their marriage lasted for more than 43 years, together raising three sons.

Born in Bethlehem PA, November 5, 1926, she is the daughter of the late Frank and Helen (Chaszar) Duh. She is a Member of St. John's Windish Lutheran Church, Bethlehem PA. Helen was a 1944 graduate of Hellertown High School and 1947 graduate of Temple University of School of Nursing. She served as Head Nurse of the operating room staff at St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill from 1947 - 1956. She temporarily left her nursing career to become a Mother and raise her family. She returned to nursing in 1970 as the Director of Nursing of Valley Manor Nursing Home in Coopersburg.

She is survived by her Sons, Thomas S. Farnish and his wife Deborah A. of Villanova PA, Kevin S. Farnish of Coopersburg PA and Stanley T. Farnish Jr. and his wife Bernadette M. of Skippack PA; Brother, Louis Duh in Ohio; and 8 Grandchildren.

Family and Friends are invited to call 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. Monday at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 326 Main Street, Hellertown and 10:30 - 11:00 a.m. Tuesday March 13, 2007 at the Church followed by the service at 11:00 a.m. The interment will conclude services at Union Cemetery of Hellertown.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to the Church, 617 East Fourth Street, Bethlehem PA 18015-1805.
