Michael J. Gappa, Sr., age 59, of Durham PA, died Monday, June 21, 2004 at the St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill PA. He was the Husband of Jackie (Kritz) Gappa. The couple celebrated their 38th Wedding Anniversary last December.

Born in Philadelphia, PA on April 21, 1945, he was the son of the late John and Anna Marie (DiCampli) Gappa. He was a Self-employed Plumber for 12 years. He served his country faithfully during the Vietnam War as a Veteran of the United States Army and was a recipient of the Purple Heart.

He is survived by his Wife; Sons, Michael J. Jr. of Breinigsville PA, Jamie W. of Hollywood FL, Adam J. of Allentown PA, and Jeremy J. of Durham PA; Daughters, Angie M. Condon of Cambridge MD and Wendy L. Burnell of Hellertown PA; Brothers, John J. of CA, David J. of Sellersville PA and Robert J. of Burlington NJ; Sisters:, Joanne M. of CO, Rosemary C. Drenkhahn of Ben Salem PA and Catherine E. A. of Timberland NJ; and 6 Grandchildren.

Services will be Private. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are by Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main Street, Hellertown PA.
