Charles W. Allio, Sr., age 90, of Hellertown PA, died Tuesday, November 7, 2006 at his home surrounded by his loving children. He is the husband of the late Ann R. (Cassano) Allio.

Born in Nazareth PA, he is the son of the late Charles A. and Gertrude (Schisler) Allio. Charles was a Tractor Trailer Driver for the former Canron Co. in Phillipsburg NJ, retiring in 1977. He served his country honorably during Peacetime in the United States Army where he was a Boxer. Charles was a former Program Director for the Boxing Team at SV Community Center and named "Greatest Coach of the Year"; Self Taught Avid Guitar Player appearing on Local TV and Radio; Country Western Player for the Broadway Buckeroos and The Ranch Hands; and enjoyed Fishing, Boating, Camping. He was a Member of the Teamster's Union Local 773; and the Hellertown Sportsman's Club.

He is survived by his Son, Charles W. Jr. of Hellertown PA; Daughters, Virginia R., wife of Frank J. Knise of Center Valley PA and Elizabeth A., wife of Thomas R. Laubach of Hellertown PA; Brothers, Harry Robert of Hellertown PA and Carl of Allentown PA; 3 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren. He is predeceased in death by his Grandson, Christopher, 1981.

Family and Friends are invited to call 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 11, 2006 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown PA. Service to follow at 11:00 a.m. and concluding with interment with Military Honors at the Union Cemetery of Hellertown.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the VNA Hospice at St. Luke's, 1510 Valley Center Parkway, Bethlehem PA 18018.
