Elsa A. (Kassner) Hafner, age 99 of Bethlehem PA, formerly of University Ave, Bethlehem PA, died Friday, September 24, 2004 at the VNA Hospice at St. Luke's, Bethlehem PA. She was the Widow of the late Frank Thomas Hafner, 1963.

Born in Germany, she was the daughter of the late Ernest W. and Wilhelmenia (Funk) Kassner. She was a Seamstress for 20 years at the former Quakertown Clothing retiring in 1970. She was a Member of Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church, Upper Saucon Township PA where she was a former Choir Member. She was also the former Chaplain of the Upper Saucon Senior Citizens, Friedensville PA.

She is survived by her Son, Harold Frank Hafner of Dallas TX; Daughter, Lorraine Eveyln, wife of Robert E. Schmaltz of Boston MA; Sister, Elfriede Hoerl of Bethlehem PA; 7 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren.

Services will be held 10:00 a.m. October 23, 2004 in the Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2451 Saucon Valley Road, Center Valley PA. There will be no calling hours. Interment in Friedensville Cemetery, Upper Saucon Township PA. Arrangements are by the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., Hellertown PA.
