Rita E. Makos, age 84, of Clermont Street, Bethlehem PA, died Friday, October 14, 2005 at the St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill PA. She is the wife of Matthew J. Makos, Sr. The couple celebrated their 61st Wedding Anniversary in September.

Born in Staunton VA, she is the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Casey) Beardsworth. She is a Member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Bethlehem Township PA.

She is survived by her Loving Husband; Son, Matthew J. Jr. of Bethlehem PA; Daughters, Patricia A., wife of Robert R. Bartholomew of Easton PA, Marie D., wife of Leonard Reph of Allentown PA and Marilyn E., wife of Steven L. Albert of Bethlehem PA; Brother, Charles James and his wife Nancy of Pensicola FL; Sisters, Ann, wife of Jack Vogel of Randolph NJ, Jean Hummer of Largo FL and Maria Whitehead of Freemont CA; 5 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren.

Services will be held 9:15 a.m., Tuesday, October 18, 2005 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 326 Main Street, Hellertown, followed by a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass at the Church. Family and Friends may call 8:15 - 9:15 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Interment to follow services at the Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
