Charles W. Makemson, Jr., age 78, of Germansville PA, died Sunday, November 20, 2005, in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township PA. He was the husband of Alena F.(Ubaldi) Makemson. The couple celebrated their 52nd Wedding Anniversary last July. Born in Waren Township, Macomb County, Michigan, Charles was the son of the late Charles W., Sr. and Eleanora (Floerke) Makemson. He Owned and Operated Arrow Burner Service, in White Plains, New York from 1951 - 1992. He faithfully and honorably served his country during World War II in the United States Army Air Corps. He was an active Volunteer with the Goodwill Fire Co. #1 Fire Police, Germansville PA and served on it's Board of Governors. He was also a Member of the Central Grange # 1650, Germansville PA. Throughout his life, he was also an active Volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America, in White Plains NY and was Past President and Member of the Tarrytown Rifle & Pistol Club, Tarrytown NY. In addition to his Loving Wife, he is survived by his Daughter, Cathy L. Gilbert and her husband Roger of Bethlehem PA; Son, Charles W. Makemson III, at home; Brother, James M. Makemson, of Andes NY; and Grandson, David R. Gilbert, of Bethlehem PA. Funeral Services will be held 1:30 p.m. Friday, November 25, 2005, in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville PA. Family and Friends may call 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service at Grandview Cemetery, Allentown PA.
