Charles O. Rau, Jr. age 76, of Orefield PA, died Thursday, March 9, 2006 at the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township PA. He was the husband of Frances M. (DeLong) Rau. The couple celebrated their 53rd Wedding Anniversary last February.

Born in Upper Macungie Township PA, Charles was the son of the late Charles O. Sr. and Rosa M. (Kramer) Rau. He was employed at South Whitehall Township as a Truck Driver for 26 years, retiring in 1992. He was a Member of Jordan Lutheran Church, Orefield PA. He faithfully and honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.

He is survived by his Wife; Daughters, Debra A. Brown and her husband David of Orefield PA and Diane M. Keshel and her husband Raymond of New Tripoli PA; Brother, Melvin E. Rau of Slatington PA; Sisters, Arlene M. Stauffer of Schnecksville PA and Dorothy E. Kistler of Fogelsville PA; 4 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandson.

Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 13, 2006 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville PA with the Reverend Donald W. Hayn officiating. Family and Friends may call 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Funeral Home.
