Lawrence C. 'Larry' Rassler, age 70, of Germansville PA, died Monday, September 26, 2005 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg, Bethlehem PA. He was the husband of Carol A. (Stafford) Rassler. The couple celebrated their 48th Wedding Anniversary last June. Born in Allentown PA, Larry was the son of the late George C. and Viola (Rose) Rassler. He was a Self-Employed Building Contractor in Lehigh County from 1973 - 2001. Prior to that, he was employed as a Foreman for the former Lehigh Valley Electronics in Breinigsville PA for 9 years; and prior to that as an Electronics Technician for Minneapolis Honeywell where he worked on the Gemini and Apollo Space Projects. While living in Minnesota, he also Owned and Operated a farm. He faithfully and honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War earning a Rank of Sergeant (E-5). While in the Marine Corps, Larry had a Christian experience that lead him to attend the Northwestern Bible College in Minnesota where he met his beloved wife Carol. He was a member of Jacob's United Church of Christ, (Jacksonville) New Tripoli PA where he currently was serving on the Church Board as a Deacon and sang in the Choir. He is survived by his Wife; Sons, Douglas C. Rassler and his wife Gail of New Tripoli PA, Gregory L. Rassler and his wife Lynn of New Tripoli PA and Bryan E. Rassler and his wife Robin of Kempton PA; Brother, George W. Rassler and his wife Janet of Allentown PA; Sisters, Georgine Zeppenfelt and her husband Mike of Allentown PA and June Zinszer and her husband Charles of Lehigh Acres FL; and Grandchildren, Nick, Sarah, Zachariah, Levi, Jairus, Jennifer and Jordan. He is predeceased in death by Sisters, Miriam Bastian and Marjorie Barlok. Funeral Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 30, 2005 at Jacob's U.C.C., 8373 Kings Highway, New Tripoli with the Reverend Scott L. Shay officiating. Family and Friends may Call 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Thursday in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville PA.
