Curtis J. Warmkessel, age 85, of Slatington PA, died Saturday, September 24, 2005 in Lehigh Center, Lower Macungie Township PA. He was the Husband of Dorothy K. (Wisser) Warmkessel. The couple celebrated their 52nd Wedding Anniversary last December. Born in Whitehall PA, Curtis was the son of the late James R. and Bertha (Reichard) Warmkessel. He was employed as a Truck Driver for the former Modern Transfer, Allentown PA, where he was a member of the Teamsters Union Local # 773; he was also active in the retired Teamsters Union. He was a former Member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Laurys Station PA. He faithfully and honorably served his county in the United States Navy during World War II. He is survived by his Wife; Sons, James C. Warmkessel and his wife Sheryl of Livermore CO, Ronald L. Hixson and his wife Pam of Allentown PA and Keith A. Warmkessel, Sr. of Laurys Station PA; Daughters, Judy A. Minnich and her husband Gary of Long Pond PA, Diane S. Hinkle of Allentown PA and Terri A. George of Slatington PA; Brothers, Erwin J. Warmkessel and his wife Edna of Coplay PA and Paul Warmkessel and his wife Marie of Whitehall PA; 17 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Granddaughter. He is predeceased in death by his Sons, Curtis J. Warmkessel, Jr. and Jan Pat Warmkessel. Services will be held 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 27, 2005 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville. Family and Friends may Call 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Funeral Home.
