Edward E. Ebert, age 70, of Lower Saucon Township PA, formerly of Allentown PA, died Saturday, September 15, 2007at the VNA Hospice House of St. Luke's, Lower Saucon Township. He is the husband of Roslyn L. (Lichtman) Ebert. Born in Allentown PA, December 8, 1936,he is the son of the late Charles Ebert and Marie Ebert Strohl. He worked at the Bethlehem Steel for 25 years in the Computer Payroll Department until retirement. Edward served his country honorably during the Korean War in the United States Army. He volunteered with Meals on Wheels for 10 years; was Past Vice President of the Saucon Valley Lions Club and Newsletter Editor; President of the Lehigh Valley Better Breathers (Support Group) and its Newsletter Editor; Newsletter Editor of Society Hill; and volunteered at Lehigh Valley Hospital and St. Luke's Hospital. In addition to his Wife of 13 years last December 12th, he is survived by his Son, Brian and his wife Jodi of Charlotte NC; 2 Grandchildren, Julie and Zachary; and Step Sisters, Janet James and Carol Holmes, both of Catasauqua PA. He is predeceased by his Brother, Robert. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 23rd, 2007 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 326 Main Street, Hellertown PA. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to the Meals on Wheels of Northampton County, 4240 Fritch Drive, Bethlehem PA 18020-8940; the Saucon Valley Lions Club, PO Box 217, Hellertown PA 18055; and/or the VNA Hospice Hospice, 1510 Valley Center Parkway, Bethlehem PA 18018. |
