Hugh D. O'Brien, Jr., age 75, formerly of Allentown PA, died Sunday, October 21, 2007 at Lehigh Center, Lower Macungie Township PA, where he had been residing. He was the husband of the late Dorothy R. (Hechler) O'Brien.

Born in Allentown PA, June 17, 1932, Hugh was the son of the late Hugh D. Sr. and Eleanor (Dennis) O'Brien. He was employed as a Driver for Trans Bridge Lines, Inc., for several years. Prior to that, he was employed as a Truck Driver at the former Schaeffer Brewery in Fogelsville PA and the former Associated Transfer in Allentown PA. He was a member of Concordia Evangelical Lutheran Church, Macungie PA.

He is survived by his Sister, Elly J. Gerlach of Allentown PA; Niece, Sharon L. Furbur of Allentown PA; Grandnephew, Colton J. Furbur; Step Daughter, Susan J. Tice of Fogelsville PA; Step Son, Terry L. Kremer of Florida; Step Grandchildren, Melanie J. Schiffert of Fogelsville PA and Robin Green of Florida; and 4 Step Great Grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 am. Friday, October 26, 2007 at Concordia Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2623 Brookside Road, Macungie with the Reverend Waldemar R. Vinovskis officiating. Family and friends may call 9:30 - 10:30 am. Friday in the Church. Interment will follow the service at Grandview Cemetery, Allentown. Arrangements are by the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., Schnecksville PA.
