Ann (Astl) Ziegler, age 91, formerly of Slatington PA, died Saturday, November 10, 2007 in the Luther Crest Health Center, South Whitehall Township PA, where she resided for the last nine years. She was the wife of the late Werner A. Ziegler, Sr.

Born in Northampton PA, July 20, 1916, Ann was the daughter of the late Stephen and Josephine (Klepeis) Astl. She was a member of the Central Grange, # 1650, Germansville PA where she also participated in the Kitchen Band.

She is survived by her Daughter, Barbara A. Ziegler and her husband Stephen M. Vengrove of Bethlehem PA; Sister, Kathryn Miller of Whitehall PA; Brothers, John Astl of Palmerton PA and Edward Astl of Northampton PA; and several Nieces and Nephews. She is predeceased in death by her Son, Werner A. Ziegler, Jr.; Sister, Helen Fritz; and Brothers, Frank and Steve Astl.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 am. Thursday, November 15, 2007 at Heidelberg Union Church, Heidelberg Township with the Reverend David L. Hess officiating. There are no Calling Hours. A procession to the cemetery will form at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville PA at 10:40 am. Thursday.

Following the graveside service a luncheon and time of fellowship will be held at Luther Crest Retirement Community.
