Walter C. Yonney, age 78, of Lower Saucon Township PA, died Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia PA. He is the husband of the late Mary A. (Bertalan) Yonney, October 26, 2006.

Born in Lower Saucon Township PA, October 7, 1929, he is the son of the late William H. and Annie S. (Schultz) Yonney. Walter worked in the Coke Works Division of the Bethlehem Steel for 35 years until retirement and also 25 years as a Bus Driver at the Saucon Valley School District. Previously he had worked part-time for Lower Saucon Township PA. He is a member of St. Luke's Old William Lutheran Church, Hellertown; North Penn Beagle Club; Springtown Rod and Gun Club; Hellertown Rod and Gun Club; Hellertown Sportsman's Association, Life Member of the Southeastern Volunteer Fire Co and the Wassergass Bushmen.

He is survived by his Daughter, Diane M., wife of Joseph D. Chernaskey of Lower Saucon Township PA; Sisters, Hilda E. Thatcher of Lower Saucon Township PA, Beatrice M. Apgar of Bethlehem PA; and Grandchildren, Tara L., Matthew J., and Adam J. Chernaskey. He is predeceased by his Brothers, Paul W. and Warren; and Sisters, Anna and Mary Gross.
