Stanley E. Wagner, 91, of Schnecksville, formerly of Bethlehem, died Thursday, February 21, 2008 in the Inpatient Hospice Unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.

Born in Lower Saucon Township on April 22, 1916, Stanley was the son of the late Ward T. and Mamie E. (Rinker) Wagner. He was employed as an Ore Bridge Operator at the former Bethlehem Steel Corp. for 43 years before retiring in 1986. Stanley was a member of New Jerusalem Lutheran Church, (Lower Saucon Twp.), Bethlehem.

Survivors: His loving wife of 70 years, Rosella F. (Altieri) Wagner; daughter, Shirley V. wife of Denton Lakatosh with whom he resided; brother, Elmer P. Wagner and his wife Jean of Bethlehem Twp.; grandchildren, Brian D. Lakatosh, Julie A. wife of Dr. Anthony Matejicka and Jane A. Lakatosh; great grandchildren, Rachel, Alyssa, Anthony III, Jared & Jayden; predeceased by sisters, Evelyn Filo and Erma Koch.

Services: Funeral services will take place at 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 25, 2008 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville with the Rev. Tricia A. McMackin, officiating. Family and friends are invited to call 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Monday in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
