Wanda (Tyson) Farmer, 100 years, of Emmaus, formerly of Schnecksville, died Thursday, February 28, 2008 in the home of her son, Richard, with whom she resided. She was the wife of the late Claude W. Farmer. Born in Bellefontaine, Ohio, on October 2, 1907, Wanda was the daughter of the late Paul and Mamie (Bailey) Tyson. She was a graduate of Ohio University, Class of 1927. Wanda was the oldest member of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs. Survivors: Sons, Richard T. Farmer and his wife Zona of Emmaus, Lynn W. Farmer of Jim Thorpe; brother, Mark Tyson of Miamisburg, Ohio; sister, Lavon Dewyre of Philadelphia; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren. Services: Private funeral services will be held on Monday in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville with the Rev. Thomas N. Thomas officiating. No calling hours. Interment will follow the service at Union Church Cemetery, Neffs. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Union United Church of Christ, c/o the funeral home, P.O. Box # 196, Schnecksville, PA 18078-0196.
