William G. Sahr, 70, died Monday, March 17, 2008 at Mary Ellen Convalescent Home, Lower Saucon Twp. He is the husband of Helen (Ambrose) Sahr.

Born in Nesquehoning on September 14, 1937, he is the son of the late William G. Sr. and Suzanne (Tomacek) Sahr. William worked at the Bethlehem Steel for 35 years retiring in 1995; a 1955 graduate of Nesquehoning High School and Bethlehem Business School; and served this country honorably during peacetime in the United States Navy. He was of the Catholic Faith.

Survivors: In addition to his wife of 47 years; son: Kevin M. and his wife Carolyn of Applegate, Oregon; sister: Patricia wife of Sam Biank in VA; 6 Grandchildren; brother-in-law: Michael P. Ambrose of Morrisville. Predeceased by a son William J. (died 1/23/2008).

Services: Family and friends are invited to call 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. a.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc. 326 Main Street - Hellertown followed by services at 9:30 a.m. The interment will conclude services at Union Cemetery of Hellertown.
