Marjorie I. (Miller) Neamand, 87, of Catasauqua, formerly of Whitehall, died Thursday, November 27, 2008 at the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. She was the wife of the late Adolph Z. Neamand. Born in Ormrod, on January 23, 1921, Marjorie was the daughter of the late Sylvanus F. and Elizabeth E. (Horn) Miller. She was employed as a sewing machine operator for various textile mills in the Lehigh Valley for many years before retiring. Marjorie was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, Whitehall where she taught Sunday School and sang on the choir. Survivors: Son, Clair A. Neamand and his wife Kathleen of North Whitehall Township; daughter, Kaye M. Hawkins of Hatfield; sisters, Eleanor A. Peters and Eva Reidelbach both of Allentown; six grandchildren; one great grandson; predeceased by a brother, James Miller and a sister, Hazel Shupp. Services: Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3355 MacArthur Road, Whitehall with the Rev. Michael J. Bodnyk and Vicar Scott R. Lee officiating. Family and friends may call 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the church. Interment will follow the service at Egypt Cemetery, Whitehall. The Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., in Schnecksville is in charge of arrangements.
