Richard W. Verdensky, 71, of Hellertown died Friday, January 2, 2009 at the VNA Hospice House of St. Luke's, Lower Saucon Twp. He is the husband of Virginia R. (Ranilovich) Verdensky.

Born in Allentown on July 25, 1937, he is the son of the late Walter Verdensky and Evelyn Laubach. Richard worked at the Bethlehem Steel for 29 years until retiring.

Survivors: In addition to his loving wife of 49 years; Daughters: Kim V. wife of William E. Sauerzopf, Jr. of Bethlehem and Jill wife of Gene S. Perez of Bethlehem; Grandchildren: Chad & Kelly Sauerzopf, Spree Perez; Millie "the dog"; and Sister: Sylvia wife of Francis Lysek of Bethlehem and their children.

Services: Family and friends are invited to call 12 noon - 1:30 p.m. Sunday, January 4, 2009 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 326 Main Street, Hellertown.
