Florence M. (Holden) “Flossie Flirt” Hamlet, 82, of New Tripoli, formerly of Philadelphia, died Monday, January 26, 2009 at St. Luke's Hospital, Allentown Campus. She was the wife of the late James G. Hamlet and Leo W. Hoke.

Born in Philadelphia, on March 27, 1926, Florence was the daughter of the late Edmund M. Sr. and Martha B. (Hook) Holden. She was employed as a deli manager for Acme Markets, Philadelphia, for 24 years before retiring in 1984. She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, Orefield and a former member of St. Richard's Roman Catholic Church, Philadelphia.

Survivors: Sons, Wayne E. Hoke and his wife Sue of New Tripoli, Jack A. Hoke of Atlantic City, New Jersey, Mark H. Hoke and his wife Leslie of Glenolden; daughters, Ruth Anne Givigliano of Philadelphia, Jill A. Lykins and her husband Chet of Newport, North Carolina; seven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren.

Services: Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 31, 2009 at St. Richard's Roman Catholic Church, 3010 South 18th Street, Philadelphia, PA with the Rev.. Michael Reilly as Celebrant. Family and friends may call 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the church. Interment will follow the service at Saints Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, Delaware County, PA. The Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., in Schnecksville is in charge of arrangements.

Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church or St. Richard's Roman Catholic Church, both in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box # 196, Schnecksville, PA 18078-0196.
