Edgar Hahn, 84, of Orefield, died Saturday, April 18, 2009 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Irene M. (Klotz) Koons Hahn. The couple celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary last November 27.

Born in South Whitehall Township, on June 9, 1924, Edgar was the son of the late Edgar Sr. and Ruth (Betz) Hahn. He was employed as a layout operator for the former Western Electric in Allentown for 38 years before retiring in 1986. He was a member of Morgenland Union Church, Orefield and the Ontelaunee Antique Car Club.

Survivors: Wife; children, Gerald Hahn and his wife Sandra of Catasauqua, twin daughters, Eileen Warren and her husband Donald and Kathleen Sellers and her husband Richard both of Orefield, Neil Hahn and his wife Mildred of Orefield; brother, Roy Hahn of Schnecksville; sister, Dorothy Roth of Whitehall; step children, Mary Ann Ashner of Bowmanstown, Robert C. Koons and his wife Linda of Allentown, David A. Koons of Orefield, Dorothy M. Koons - Szoke and her husband Stephen of Antioch, Illinois; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren.

Services: Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 22, 2009 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville with the Rev. Sally D. Zelker, officiating. Family and friends may call 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Morgenland Union Cemetery, Orefield.
