Mary J. Tegyi, 89, of Trumbauersville, died Friday, May 8, 2009 at Phoebe Home, Allentown. Widowed, she is the wife of the late Joseph S. Tegyi.

Born in Quakertown on March 22, 1920 to the late Thomas and Elsie (Taylor) White. Mary worked as a seamstress in various textile factories.

Survivors: Daughter, Josephine Matyas of Bethlehem; 4 Grandchildren and many Great Grandchildren. Predeceased by children, Elsie Kilian and Michael,

Services: Private with interment at Christ Church Cemetery of Trumbauersville. The Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., Hellertown is in charge of arrangements.

Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society.
