Elizabeth "Betty" Joan Fleming Walsh, of Allentown PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 25, 2009 in South Whitehall Twp.

She was born January 10, 1925 in Carbondale, Pa. and is the daughter of the late Francis A. Fleming and Elizabeth Dorothy (Judge) Fleming. She attended St. Rose School in Carbondale until she moved to Brooklyn, New York and graduated from high school there. She worked in banking and retired from Wachovia Bank in 2000 after 30 years of service.

She married Charles Walsh of Honesdale and they have four daughters, Joan, wife of Stephen Dunn, Eileen, wife of John Borkenhagen, Susan, wife of Thomas Perry and Mary Cunningham, all of whom survive her. She is also survived by her brothers Ed and Frank Fleming . She leaves behind 10 grandchildren: Kevin Dunn, Samantha Dunn, Kimberly Harris, Edward Borkenhagen, Scott Borkenhagen, Amy Cunningham, John Cunningham, Jason Cunningham, Caroline Dipasquale and Joshua Cunningham. She also has five greatgrandchildren : John Harris IV , Ashley Harris, Alexandra Cunningham, Aiden Borkenhagen and Parker Borkenhagen.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM on Friday July 31, 2009 at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 825 South 11th Street, Allentown. Interment will be at the convenience of the family at the St. John's Cemetery in Honesdale. Arrangements by the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc. Hellertown.
