Dorothy L. Sauerwine, 74, of Freemansburg, died Friday, August 7, 2009 at the Lehigh Valley Hospital Muhlenberg, Bethlehem. She is the wife of George H. Sauerwine.

Born in Palmerton on June 16, 1935 to the late Harrison Kulp & Rose (Dolgas) Ferris.

Survivors: In addition to her loving husband of 56 years; Sons, George L. and his wife Karen A. of Bethlehem, Allen W. of Freemansburg and Kevin L. and his wife Zina L. of Tobyhanna; Daughters, Brenda L. wife of Herman W. Spiegler of Bethlehem, Rosanne M. wife of Charles E. Rugh of Bath and Lisa D. wife of Brian Szabo of Bath; Brothers, Thomas of Walnutport, Richard of Freemansburg and Harrison of Freemansburg; Sister, Mary wife of Richard Mingora of Bethlehem; 16 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren.

Services: Family and friends are invited to call 10 - 11 a.m. Monday at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc. 326 Main Street - Hellertown followed by the service at 11:00 a.m.
