Harold C. Thomas, Sr., 84, of Coopersburg, died Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at St. Luke's Hospital - Fountain Hill. He is the husband of Arietta M. (Engle) Thomas.

Born in Bethlehem on December 13, 1924 to the late Frank and Thelma (Kincaid) Thomas. Harold worked for P.B. & NE Railroad at the Bethlehem Steel for 34 years retiring as a yard master in 1981. He served his country honorably during WWII in the US Army and was a member of the Edward H. Ackerman Post 397, Hellertown.

Survivors: In addition to his loving wife of 62 years; Sons, Harold C. Thomas, Jr. of Ft. Lauderdale and Charles H. of Quakertown; Daughters, Arietta M. Weida of Boston, MA and May A. Zucchiatti of Coopersburg; Sister, Patricia wife of James Abraham of Bethlehem; and 6 Grandchildren.

Services: Family and friends are invited to call 9-10 a.m. Friday August 28, 2009 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc. 326 Main Street - Hellertown followed by the service at 10:00 a.m.
