Jean M. Urmy, 77, of Upper Saucon Twp., died Friday, November 6, 2009 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp. She is the wife of Ralph B. Urmy.

Born in Upper Hanover Twp. on January 19, 1932 to the late Henry V. and Pearl (Moll) Miller. Jean was the original employee of Red Hill Savings and Loan and later retired from Meridian Bank. She had also worked in the 1950's in the Wage Tax Office at Southern Lehigh School. She was an active member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Coopersburg, serving on its Altar Guild, Greeter, Usher and the Soup Committee in association with the church.

Survivors: In addition to her loving husband of 53 years; Sons: Daryl G. and his wife Cheryl A. of Coopersburg, Gary L. of Boyertown and Bryan R. and his wife Maureen P. of Coopersburg; Daughter: Gayle C. wife of Andrew W. Wuesthoff of Virginia Beach, VA; Brother: Henry B. Miller and his wife Elsie of Pennsburg; Sister: Beatrice wife of LeRoy Rothenberger of Pennsburg; 1 Granddaughter and 4 Step Grandchildren. Predeceased by a Brother, Ray and a Sister, Ruby Bitting

Services: Family and friends are invited to call 3:00 - 4:30 p.m. Sunday, November 8th, 2009 and 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc. 326 Main St. Hellertown followed by the service at 10:30 a.m. The interment will conclude services at Woodland Cemetery, Upper Saucon Twp.

Contributions: Memorial suggestions can be made in Jean's name to the American Diabetes Association and or the American Heart Association.

To Ralph and family...I am so sorry for your loss. Jean was a dedicated wife and mother,living and loving her life on the farm with her family. I worked with Jean at Red Hill Savings in the Coopersburg office.She always had a great story to tell.I will always have fond memories of her gentleness and smile. May God give you His comfort and peace through your family and friends.
