Laura Sarah (Wagner) Haas, 83, of Palmerton, formerly of Dingmans Ferry, died Sunday, November 8, 2009 at The Palmerton Hospital. She was the wife of the late Harold E. Haas, who died last August 12. Born in East Allen Township, on June 6, 1926, Laura was the daughter of the late Raymond Franklin and Irene Louisa (Rex) Wagner. A loving and devoted mother, she was a foster parent with her late husband of over 30 children. Laura was a member of Jordan United Church of Christ, Allentown. Survivors: Daughters, Judy I. Sourwine and her husband Art, of Bushkill, Donna L. Shoemaker, of Reading, Debra A. Grammes and her husband, Dane, with whom she resided, Lorraine K. Held and her husband, Cory, of Slatington; sons, Scott M. Becker, of Bethlehem, David A. Grosz, and his wife, Elsie, of Shamokin; brother, Roy Wagner his wife, Lillie, of Northampton; sister, Lorraine Longenbach, of Catasauqua; seven grandchildren; predeceased by a grandson, Dennis, and a brother, Carl Wagner. Services: Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 14, 2009 at Jordan U.C.C, 1837 Church Road, Allentown, with the Rev. Dr. David Charles Smith and Pastor Wally F. Frisch officiating. Family and friends may call 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the church. Interment will follow the service in the adjacent church cemetery.
