Norman A. Lawrence, 72, of Hellertown died Monday, February 8, 2010 at St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill. He is the husband of Suzanne M. Matey.

Born in Fountain Hill on October 6, 1937 to the late Samuel and Florence (Cope) Lawrence. Norman worked at the former Bethlehem Steel for 38 years until retiring from the Coke Oven Division. He served his country honorably during peacetime in the US Air Force. Norman was a member of the Roosevelt Democratic Club, Bethlehem, Hellertown Sportsmen's Association and Community Fish and Game, Zionsville.

Survivors: In addition to his loving Wife of 25 years; Sons, Norman M. Lawrence and his wife Denise H. of Bethlehem Twp. and James A. Lawrence of Bethlehem; Daughter, Margaret A. Brown and Douglas L. DeHaven of Hellertown; Sisters, Constance wife of Byron O. Walker of Chesapeake, VA, Dolores wife of Sidney Summers, Jr. of Hellertown and Gloria Carnes of Bethlehem; 4 Grandchildren; 4 Nieces and 4 nephews. Predeceased by his Brother, Harry.

Services: Family and friends are invited to call 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc. 326 Main Street - Hellertown followed by the service at 7:30 p.m.
