Dallas B. Kidd, 82, of Slatington, currently residing at The Phoebe Home, Allentown, passed away, Friday, February 12, 2010 at St.Luke's Hospital - Allentown Campus. He was the husband of the late Mae L. (Markell) Kidd.

Born in Lehigh Township, July 1, 1927, Dallas was the son of the late William J. and Frances A. (Bachman) Kidd. He was employed as a polisher at the former Keystone Lamp Factory, in Slatington, for 44 years before retiring in 1989. He was a faithful member of the Slatington Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses for 45 years where he served as an Elder. He was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and friend.

Survivors: Daughters, Kathleen L. Kidd of Slatington, Sharon L. Sterner and her husband Kevin of Palmerton; grandchildren, Rachel and Jason Sterner.

Service: Private graveside services will take place at the Union Cemetery of Slatington . No calling hours. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 20, 2010 at the Slatington Kingdom Hall. The Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., in Schnecksville is in charge of arrangements.

Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Slatington Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 8110 PA Route 873, Slatington, PA 18080.
