George F. Danko of Bethlehem, formerly of Hellertown, died Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at Lehigh Valley Muhlenberg Hospital, Bethlehem. He is the husband of Frances M. (Oravec) Danko.

Born in Bethlehem on November 29, 1921 to the late George and Agnes (Pecuch) Danko. George worked in the accounting division of the former Bethlehem Steel Corp. for 42 years until retiring in 1982. He is a member of the Church of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus, Hellertown and a member of its St. Vincent DePaul Holy Name Society.

Survivors: In addition to his loving Wife of 60 years last October 1st; Children, George M. Danko and his wife Nancy of Wayzata, MN and Mary D. Small wife of Peter F. Small of Lansdale; and 3 Grandchildren.

Services: Family and friends are invited to call 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. Saturday, June 5, 2010 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc. 326 Main Street - Hellertown, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at the Church, 1408 Easton Road, Hellertown, The interment will conclude services at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
