Rose E. Fartel, 92, of Bethlehem, died Thursday, June 3, 2010 at the VNA Hospice House of St. Luke's, Lower Saucon Twp. She is the wife of the late Alexander Fartel.

Born in Lower Saucon Twp. on October 9, 1917 to the late Joseph and Mary (Augstich) Borovies. Rose worked as a seamstress for 42 years in various textile companies and retired from Murial Dress Company, Bethlehem. She is a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church, Bethlehem and a member of the International Garment Worker's Union.

Survivors: Children, Nancy A. wife of Edward C. Zadravecz of Bethlehem Twp. and Alexander J. and his wife Dolores A. of Hellertown; Sisters, Theresa Borovies of Bethlehem, Wilma Nix of Las Vegas, NV and Helen Talaber of Hellertown; and Grandchildren; Matthew and Michelle Fartel. Predeceased by a Aister, Mary Ann Dervrich and a Brother, John Borovies.

Services: Family and friends are invited to call 10 - 11 a.m. Monday, June 7, 2010 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc. 326 Main Street - Hellertown followed by service at 11:00 a.m. The interment will conclude services at Union Cemetery of Hellertown.
