More than a student

Julie Garvin - Teacher at SV    06-06-2010

As I read the newspaper this morning I felt an overwhelming sadness when I learned the news of Tracy's tragic accident. I want to express my deepest sympathy to Tracy's family and friends. Every now and then a student touches my heart and becomes more than just a student but also a friend. Tracy was one of those students. She was in so many of my classes and her beautiful personality and positive attitude were always a bright light in my life. We shared so many wonderful conversations and developed a bond that will never be forgotten. My heart and prayers go out to you at this extremely difficult time.

I was so saddened when I opened the newspaper only to read of your terrible family tragedy.I am so very sorry for your loss. I know your girls meant alot to you. Saying Im sorry doesnt really begin to touch the deep pain in your heart right now. Stay strong for your family, but lean on them when you need to. Always keep her close to your heart even though she is in Gods arms now. Remember all those cute little things she did and she will always be with you. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. My deepest condolences, Helen Coffin

I am so very saddened and shocked to hear of Tracy's passing. I was privileged to have Tracy as a student in several of my classes during her first year here at Penn College. Tracy was, in every respect, an outstanding student and a very accomplished, outgoing and considerate young lady. She was truly a role model for her peers and a perfect ambassador for our college. We will miss her dearly. My most heartfelt prayers and condolences to all of her family and loved ones in this time of sorrow. With deepest sympathies, Dr. Chris Kule

College President Dr. DavieJane Gilmour shared this tragic news with us on Monday. Tracy reflected the quality student and person that has made our College great. DavieJane began her own career in Dental Hygiene and made these comments about Tracy: "Tracy was an excellent student and was scheduled to be a Presidential Ambassador this coming academic year. Tracy left an incredibly positive legacy at Penn College and will be missed". Our thoughts and prayers are with her family.
