Clifford C. Rauch, 79, of Slatington, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer on Friday, June 11, 2010 at Moravian Village, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Sandra Joyce (Schiffert) Rauch. The couple celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary last September 7.

Born in Slatington, January 13, 1931, Clifford was the son of the late Iro and Cena (Scheetz) Rauch. He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Clifford was employed at ARA Vending in Allentown before retiring in 1983. Prior to that, he sold fresh baked goods and bread for the former Freihofer Bakery as a self-employed rural route carrier. Clifford was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Slatington.

Survivors: In addition to his loving wife, Sandra, daughter, Terrie A. Rauch and her companion Eugene “Geno” Giunta of Schnecksville; predeceased a brother, Joanquin Rauch and a sister, Lillian Merkle.

Service: A private memorial service will be held in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., in Schnecksville.

Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John's United Church of Christ and/or The John & Dorothy Morgan Cancer Center both in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box # 196, Schnecksville, PA 18078-0196.
