Joan,
To the most beautiful, elegant, loving person I was blessed to call my sister.
Your love of family could never be surpassed. You possessed a heart of gold, and always a protective arm around us all in time of need.
We will all miss you dearly, and I will always be proud to say "yes, that's my sister."
Love you so much Joan, and thanks for everything!

God's Gift to this Family

One of the greatest gifts in my life is having you as my "big sister". You were always as beautiful inside as outside.
Our hearts are broken. As I sat the other morning; "You are My Special Angel Through Eternity" came on the radio and I know it was you to once again "take care" of us as you always did. Love you for all eternity. Mary Ellen and Jimmy

Aunt Joan/Aunt Joanie/ Dodo/ Dodo Bird/ DDB of A... A woman who words cannot do justice- A woman who's smile, squeezes, kisses and hugs could cure anything, who's giggles were contagious, who's impeccable hair, makeup & clothes made her look like the queen she was and will always be, who's nails even if she was biting them...always looked beautiful (a habit I picked up), who made the best dips & chicken soup, who's voice soothed, who's touch warmed, who's stories gave you goose bumps, who's sleep overs/week/end trips were like fairy tales comes true, (tons of cuddling included) the greatest person to eat ice cream with & watch classic shows like Cheers. From teaching me how to blot my lipstick on tissues to how to read stock market reports and amortization tables - Who I owe marrying the man of my dreams and so much more

Her proudness burst through her, her love's everlasting.... I have tons and tons of memories to last a lifetime and share through all my days... I thank God for giving me you, you are the song in the wind & the sun that shines on us- we miss you beyond words and love so very much
