Doris M. (Robinson) Durand, 74, of Allentown, formerly of Orefield and New Kensington, Westmoreland County, died Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg, Bethlehem. She was the wife of the late Thomas J. Durand.

Born in Parnassus, March 12, 1936, Doris was the daughter of the late Howard R. Sr. and Harriet E. (Lintner) Robinson. She was employed as a Nurses Aid in the Central Supply Room of Cedarbrook - Allentown for 22 years before retiring in 1986. Active in the life of her church, Doris was a member of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs, where she formerly served on the Consistory and was a member of the Helping Hands. She was a former banquet volunteer at the Tri-Clover Fire Company and a former Bingo Caller at the Tri-Clover Fire Co., Orefield, the Community Fire Co. #1, Schnecksville and the Slatedale Fire Co.

Survivors: Sister, Dolores J. Bruno of Verona, Allegheny County; godson, Jon P. Diehl of Orefield; friends, Eunice M. wife of Donald P. Diehl of Schnecksville.

Service: Funeral services will be held 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 30, 2010 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville with the Rev. Thomas N. Thomas officiating. Family and friends may pay their respects from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Private interment will take place at Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell, Westmoreland County.
