I AM SO SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR LOSS. SHE WAS MY LIBRARIAN FOR FOUR YEARS.I WAS SHOCKED TO SEE THAT SHE PAST AWAY RIGHT WHEN SCHOOL ENDED. SHE WAS VERY GOOD AT WHAT SHE DID. MAY IT COME AS A COMFORT TO KNOW THERE IS A TIME IN EVERY PERSONS LIFE THAT GOD WANTS TO TAKE WITH HIM. SHE IS IN A BETTER PLACE NOW, SHE IS AT PEACE AND NO LONGER IN PAIN AND I WILL MISS HER.

Dedicated & positive, Nancy was consistently very helpful, highly skilled and self-motivated in extending the library beyond the bookshelves with children and fellow teachers. It was a privilege to know her and her sweet spirit. She will be missed. My deepest sympathy to her family.

Dear loving family of Nancy,
I'm very sorry to read of your sad loss, and I want to extend my deepest sympathy. I hope these verses will bring you some comfort. Acts 24:15 promises "there is going to be a resurrection." Until this time comes, your beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt is as if asleep; just as Jesus said of his friend Lazarus when he died. - (John 11:11-15) Jesus then raised Lazarus from that sleep of death back to life again! - (John 11:34-44) and in doing so; he gave us a solid basis for hope to see our loved ones again!
When tragedies happen, it's due to "time and unforeseen occurrence that befall them all" - (Ecclesiastes 9:11b) Jehovah God doesn't cause bad things to happen to our cherished family and we see this from James 1:13 "When under trial, let no one say:

Nancy was a dedicated educator...she truely loved her craft. I have many memories of how she helped me out over the years, one of which was that she allowed me to use the library to rehearse early in the mornings. There were so many little things she did for us teachers that went unnoticed. Know that Nancy will sorely be missed. She was loved and respected by her fellow educators, students, and parents of the Oley Valley School District. I cannot imagine walking through the library without feeling her presence, which I know will remain therein for years to come.

To John Dougherty,
I learned of the loss of your wife Nancy recently through my parents. My sincere sympathy and empathy to you and your family. Unfortunately, I know the pain and deep sadness and confusion after losing a spouse--it's been 8 years since I lost my husband. A very helpful thing was the GriefShare Christian support group--I attended for almost 2 years, and now I co-lead it at my church in Reading. You can locate a GriefShare group via their website: www.griefshare.org.
May God bless you everyday as you face your grief journey--it's so hard, but there is hope in Him and His guidance.
Very sincerely,
Brenda Bachman Daelhousen,
High school classmate '69
