Jean Marie (Sattler) Hubler, 77, of Allentown, died Saturday, July 31, 2010 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. She was the wife of Ronald N. Hubler. The couple observed their 57th wedding anniversary on July 27. Born in Allentown, May 26, 1933, Jean was the daughter of the late Anthony Joseph and Jewel Louise (Litak) Sattler. After graduating from Allentown Central Catholic High School, Class of 1951, Jean continued her education by attending the University of Pennsylvania, College of Dentistry in her pursuit of becoming a dental hygienist, working for Dr. Jenkins on Ridge Avenue for a short period of time. Jean decided to work with her parent's in the operation of the former Sattler's Club Plan Store (Household Goods) on Ridge Ave. and the former Home Bakery on Hamilton Street from 1953 - 1964. She later worked part-time with her husband, who co-owned the former Hubler Rentals, Inc. from 1959-1972 and the former Hubco Ford Truck Sales & Service from 1968 - 1995. Jean was a member of the Cathedral of St. Catharine of Siena, Allentown. She was a shareholder of the Lehigh County Agricultural Society, “The Great Allentown Fair”. Survivors: In addition to her husband Ronald, daughter, Shawn Marie Hubler of Allentown. Services: Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 5, 2010 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville with the Rev. Msgr. Andrew R. Baker officiating. Family and friends may pay their respects from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home. The interment will follow the service at Morgenland Union Cemetery, Orefield.
