June M. (Otter) Rhode, 74, of Allentown, died Monday, August 02, 2010 in her home. She was the wife of Kenneth T. Rhode, Sr. The couple observed their 55th wedding anniversary last April.

Born in Briggsville, PA June 26, 1936, June was the daughter of Hilda C. (Slusser) Otter of Orefield and the late Norman H. Otter. She was employed as a school bus driver for the Parkland School District for 27 years before retiring. June enjoyed painting and was a member of the Parkland Art League for many years. She was a devoted and loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother.

Survivors: In addition to her husband and mother; sons, Kenneth T. Rhode, Jr and his wife, Kim, of Nampa, Idaho, Randall K. Rhode and James S. Rhode and his wife, Shannon, both of Allentown; daughters, Cathy S. wife of Robert W. Reinert and Melanie A. wife of Russell Cronk both of Allentown; brother, Gerald N. Otter and his wife, Monica, of Germansville; sisters, Nancy E. Bergstresser of Orefield, Betty Lou Hausman of Coplay, and Linda J. wife of Daryl W. Phifer of Breinigsville; grandchildren; Bethann Waltman, Megan Grant, Erin & Lauren Cronk, Tyler & Rebecca Rhode, Brianna & Austin Rhode, Wendy Rodas; great grandchildren, Jakob & Jesse Waltman, Elijah Grant, Jocelyn Rhode.

Services: Private. No calling hours. The Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., in Schnecksville is in charge of arrangements.
