Josephine M. "Josie" Bell, 78, formerly of Chester, died Friday, August 6, 2010 at Cedarbrook-Fountain Hill Annex.

Born in Upland, PA on August 29, 1931 to the late Donato and Maria (Pecchioli) Belli. She graduated from Notre Dame High School, Moylan, PA; attended Immaculata College for 2 years and then graduated from Dunbarton College, D.C. majoring in art. She copied paintings from the National Gallery of Art. In D.C., she worked as a model for Teens for the Hecht Co. and as a receptionist for the D.C. office of Pittsburgh Steel Co. and also at Wanamaker's in Philadelphia.

Survivors: Siblings: Daniel and his wife Victoria Bell of Wallingford, Anne Bell Gerras of Coopersburg; She will be lovingly remembered by her nieces Marianne, Kathy, Karen and Nephew Col. Stephen Gerras. Also, grand nephews: Cazimir Jr., Markus, Joshua, Zachary and grand niece Marjorie and Kelley.

Services: Private. The interment at St. Michael's Cemetery, Chester. The Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., Hellertown is in charge of arrangements.
