Edward R. Talaber, 72, of Lower Saucon Twp. died Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill. He is the husband of Helen M. (Borovies) Talaber.

Born in Bethlehem on February 13, 1938 to the late Charles and Theresa (Doncsecz) Talaber. Edward worked in No. 2 Machine Shop of the Bethlehem Steel for over 30 years until retiring. He served his country honorably during the Korean War in the US Army. Edward was of the of the Catholic Faith.

Survivors: In addition to his loving wife of 42 years; daughter: Donna M. wife of Gerald L. Hantz; step daughter: Pamela L.Transue, step son: Barry A. Leith, all of Hellertown; sister: Theresa Persa of Trexlertown; Grandchildren: Edward , Zahya, Jeremy, Joshua, Aryen, Jonathan, Jacob; 1 Great Grandaughter: Lorelei. Predeceased by a son, Edward in 1984 and 10 siblings.

Services: Family and friends are invited to call 10- 11 a.m. Friday, August 13, 2010 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc. 326 Main Street - Hellertown followed by the service at 11:00 a.m. The interment will conclude services at Union Cemetery of Hellertown.
