Louis Ralph Ganssle, Sr., 91, of Hellertown died Friday, August 13, 2010 at Saucon Valley Manor, Hellertown. He is the husband of the late Gertrude S. (Haines) Ganssle (died June 15, 1994).

Born in Quakertown, PA on July 12, 1919 to the late Joseph Fred and Mary Edna (Nicholas) Ganssle. Ralph worked as a Machinist at the Forge Specialty Shop of the Bethlehem Steel for 38 years until retiring in 1974. He also owned and operated the former Ganssle's Radio and TV Service, Hellertown. He was a faithful member of the Church of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus, Hellertown where he served as Past President of the Holy Name Society.

Survivors: Children, Mary Anne wife of Willard E. Weisel of Sellersville, Louis Ralph Ganssle, Jr. and his wife Sharon L. of Bethlehem, Gerald J. and his wife Anna M. Ganssle of Bethlehem and William F. and his wife Diane C. Ganssle of Bethlehem Twp.; Grandchildren, 9; Great Grandchildren, 12; Companion Edythe M. Gorman of Lower Saucon Twp.; Siblings, J. Fred and his wife Bertha of Easton, Howard F. and his wife Dorothy of Bethlehem, Eldon C. and his wife Marion M. of Hellertown, Raymond B. and his wife Ramona of Coplay, Marie and her husband Clarence Applegate of Perkasie, Wesley E. and his wife Ann of Bethlehem and Audrey T. and her husband George T. Cawley of Hellertown. Predeceased by a Daughter, Regina "Jean" I. Ganssle (died Jan. 7, 2001) and Sisters, Helen Adamek and Regina Ganssle.

Services: Family and friends are invited to call 7:00-8:30 p.m. Sunday August 15, 2010 and 11:45-12:15 p.m. Monday at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 326 Main Street – Hellertown, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 p.m. at the church, 1408 Easton Road, Hellertown. The interment will conclude services at Union Cemetery, Quakertown.
