Dr. Leo Keller, 80, of Schnecksville, died Saturday, August 28, 2010 in his home. He was the husband of Vida M. “Pat” (Crabbe) Keller.

Born in St. Louis, Missouri on March 8, 1930, he was the son of the late Frank and Marie (Burtscher) Keller. Dr. Keller was a research Professor at Stanford University and Professor of Psychology at the University of California, Irvine. He also was a Professor of Psychology at Kutztown University for 27 years until retiring 1999. He served our country faithfully in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He is a member of Agape New Testament Fellowship Church, Schnecksville and a member of the Gideons International.

Survivors: in addition to his loving wife of 58 years; Son: David M. Keller and his wife Kristi Robbins of Kempton; Daughters: Kathy L. Richards of Santa Ana, CA, Konnie and her husband Steve Heiland of Neffs; 7 Grandchildren; 10 Great Grandchildren; He was predeceased by sisters: Lillian Klein and Theresa Schreoder.

Service: Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 3, 2010 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc. 4906 Route 309-Schnecksville,PA 18078 with the Rev. David Farnholtz, officiating. Family and friends may pay their respects from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Macungie Baptist Church Cemetery.

I was a student of Dr. Keller's at Kutztown University. He was a wonderful teacher and a nice person. He was always willing to help his students and was a great mentor. I am sorry for your loss. May you find peace during this difficult time.
