Joseph P. Jacob, Jr., age 76, of Walnut Street, Allentown PA, died Wednesday, December 11, 2002 in Lehigh Center, Lower Macungie Township PA. He was the Widower of the late Lucy Elizabeth (Cunningham) Jacob.

Born in Philadelphia PA, he was the Son of the late Joseph P. Sr. and Lillian (Flemming) Jacob. He was a Medical Equipment Technician for North American Drager in Telford for 20 years before retiring in 1989. Prior to that, he was an Equipment Technician for the former Remington Rand Corp. in Allentown for 28 years. He also worked part-time as a Bartender at The Tap in Allentown from 1989 - 1999. He was a Member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Allentown PA. He was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corp having served during World War II.

He is survived by his Sons, Joseph P. Jacob, III of Whitehall PA and William P. Jacob of Reading PA; Daughters, Barbara A. wife of Douglas M. Dorward of Allentown PA , Patricia L. Ostrander of Emmaus PA and Mary A. Jacob of Catasauqua PA; Brother, Thomas Jacob of Villas NJ; 10 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 16, 2002 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville PA. Family and Friends may call 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Funeral Home. The Reverend Victor F. Finelli officiating. Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Macungie PA.
