Charles S. Nemes, age 85, of Lower Saucon Township PA, died Monday, January 22, 2007 at the VNA Hospice House of St. Luke's, Lower Saucon Township. Husband of the late Anna T. (Jozsa) Nemes (December 12, 2006). Born in Bethlehem PA (August 3, 1921), he is the son of the late Stephen and Theresa Nemes. Charles worked as a Foreman in the Blast Furnace Department of the former Bethlehem Steel for 38 years, retiring in 1978. He served his country honorably during World War II in the United States Navy and was a Member of St. John Capistrano Catholic Church, Bethlehem PA. He is survived by his Son, Dennis F. and his wife Barbara J. of Emmaus PA; 1 Grandson, Scott and his wife Kristine; and 1 Great Grandson, Brady. He is predeceased by his Sisters, Mary Bierbaum, Wilma Bierback, Patricia Krozier, Theresa Koach; and Brother, Stephen. Family and Friends are invited to call 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. Sunday, January 28, 2007 and 8:00 - 9:00 a.m. Monday at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc. 326 Main Street, Hellertown PA. The service will be 9:00 a.m. Monday at the Funeral Home, followed by a 9:30 a.m. Funeral Mass at the St. John Capistrano Catholic Church, Bethlehem PA. The interment with Military Honors will conclude services at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem PA.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to the Church, 910 East Fourth Street, Bethlehem PA 18015 and/or the VNA Hospice House of St. Luke's, 1510 Valley Center Parkway, Bethlehem PA 18018.
