Kermit R. Nagel, age 84, of Route 309, Orefield PA, died Friday, November 01, 2002 in ManorCare Health Services, Salisbury Township PA. He was the husband of Hilda R. (Paul) Nagel. The couple celebrated their 61st Wedding Anniversary this past March.

Born in Washington Township PA, he was the son of the late Raymond S. and Verna A. (Handwerk) Nagel. He was a Sales Representative for Agway, Inc. in Chapman and Ironton for 38 years before retiring in 1983. He was a Member of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs PA. He was a Former Lehigh County Deputy Sheriff for 10 years; Former Fire Police and 50 year Volunteer for the Tri-Clover Fire Company, Orefield PA; Member of the Community Fire Company #1, Schnecksville PA; and Member of the Kutztown Fire Company #1, Kutztown PA.

He is survived by his Wife; Daughter, Ann L., wife of James Fortney of Schnecksville PA; 1 Grandson, James S. Fortney and 1 Great Grandson, Andrew P. Fortney.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 5, 2002 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville PA. Family and Friends may Call 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the Funeral Home. The Reverend Thomas N. Thomas officiating. Interment in Union Church Cemetery, Neffs PA
