Mary G. Zito, age 90, of Sun City Center FL, formerly of Easton, Hellertown and Roseto PA, as well as Naples FL, died peacefully on Wednesday, November 3, 2004 in LifePath Hospice and Palliative Care, Sun City Center FL. She was the Wife of Michael D. Zito. The couple celebrated their 64th Wedding Anniversary last month.

Born in Roseto PA, she was the daughter of the late Enrica Panzini Giralico and Benjamin Giralico of Veroli Italy. Mary was an accomplished singer. She started singing at the age of twelve in the Church Choir of The Roseto Presbyterian Church, then for nearly five decades with the Choir of the First United Church of Christ, Hellertown PA.

She also sang at over 100 weddings and funerals as a soloist. She started the first kindergarten at the Roseto Church. She also was Past President of the Ladies Aid Society and a Girl Scout Leader at the same church. She was a charter member of The Italian Singers and Dancers of the Lehigh Valley; also known as I Pasani.

She is survived by her Husband; Son, Michael P. Zito of Tampa FL; Daughters, Ruth E. Rohland of Saint Cloud MN and Naomi M. Spurlock of Newport DE; 9 Grandchildren, Michael, Kerrey, Ethan, Shannon, Heidi, Heather, Stephanie, Christopher and Lacy and 7 Great Grandchildren, Kayla, Tyler, Tommy, Taylor, Katlyn, Mason and Kelsey.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 8, 2004 at the First United Church of Christ, 501 Northampton Street, Hellertown PA. Family and Friends may call 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown and 10:30 - 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Church. Interment at the Roseto Presbyterian Cemetery, Roseto PA.
