Loretta C. (Snell) Young, age 78, of Slatington PA, died Wednesday, March 21, 2007 in her home. She was the wife of the late Stanley A. Young I.

Born in Bethlehem PA, December 15, 1928, Loretta was the daughter of the late Peter Henry and Edna Jane (Weida) Snell. She was employed as a Processing Technician for the former ALPO Pet Foods in South Whitehall Township PA for 35 years before retiring. She was a Member of the Teamsters Union Local 773. Loretta also Co-Owned and operated with her late Husband and Children the former Dapper Dal Kennels at her home for 8 years, retiring in 1980.

Loretta is the beloved Mother of Son, Stanley A. Young II with whom he resided and his Companion, Stephanie A. Smith; Daughters, Fietta L. Jones and her husband Mark of New Smithsville PA and Babbette A. Young and her Companion, Russell C. Young of Slatington PA. She is also survived by her Sister, Patricia M. Voght of Camp Hill PA; Brothers, Warren Snell and his wife Bea of Toms River NJ and David Snell and his wife Bonnie of Germany; Step Son, Paul S. Young and his wife Gerri of Philadelphia PA; Step Daughter, Susan J. Kenkelen and her husband Edward of New York; 11 Grandchildren; and 5 Great Grandchildren.

A gathering to celebrate Loretta's life will be held Tuesday, March 27, 2007 from 3:00 - 5:00 pm. in the family residence at 6335 PA Route 873, Slatington. The Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., in Schnecksville is in charge of arrangements.
